Derek Cunningham

Derek began his career with an Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor degree in Health Sciences from Mercy College. After spending several years in the field he enrolled in Dominican College where he completed his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Derek has spent his 12-year career working with а multitude of clientele including, pediatrics, geriatrics, athletes, and anyone who wants to maximize and improve their potential.

While primarily an expert in dysfunctions of the upper extremity, Derek uses а variety of techniques to treat the whole person both physically and spiritually. Derek joined the Balanced Well team 5 years ago and has brought а unique perspective to the team through his diverse background in Martial arts, wrestling, and advanced clinical prowess.

Derek is truly the hero of his own story but more than that, he sincerely believes that everyone has the ability to achieve their maximum potential.
